Directions:
1 Package of Tortilla Dry Soup Mix
5 cups water
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
or replace tomatoes with 1 cup water.
Whisk soup mix into water and tomatoes
Bring to boil, stirring often
Reduce Heat and simmer for 15 minutes

Variations: 1 (10 oz.) can of chicken, 1 cup crushed tortilla chips, 1 can Black Beans or Corn. Thinner soup, add less tortilla chips, thicker soup, add more tortilla chips.

Garnish with grated cheese, lime and tortilla strips.

The spicy taste is absolutely divine. I add chicken, black beans, can of lime rotel - heat it up. Served with tortilla strips and fiesta mix shredded cheese. The Best!

This is an amazing soup seasoning item!
You can add multiple vegetables and make it a truly "over the top" recipe! PLUS, it takes such a short time to make! I am getting ready to stock my pantry with it, and send it to my friends & family for a delicious winter treat for the cold!
My only complaint was that I didn't order more on my first order!!

Delicious and easy

I don't know why I waited to make this. It was so easy to only add a can of diced tomatoes and water and the soup was delicious. I ended up adding some chicken and cheese and I can't wait to make it again. I'm going to add some other veggies others have recommended, but it's great just as the recipe recommends.

My Favorite-Tortilla Soup mix

I have been purchasing from Twisted yearly since we discovered the early 2000s when we first discovered Twisted Pepper Harbonero Salsa (Please bring it back) while on vacation at Eureka Springs and then later discovered they had a website. I put everything in the Tortilla soup that is suggested on the package, ie diced chicken breast, corn, black beans and crushed tortilla chips after it’s all cooked. Very filling and always fresh best comfort food ever and when it’s on sale, bonus! Try it you won’t be disappointed
